Information concerning the Charity - Concert of the Lions European Chamber Players (LECP)

First round - open to the public: 6th November, whole day, start: 9 am

Second round - "Concert of the Six Best" - open to the public: 7th November 2-4 pm

The competition is Lions European Music Competition Thomas Kuti (LEMC). This competition puts the principle of Lionism into practice promoting fraternity and exchange among young people.

 

The European Music Prize is awarded annually to the Lions Europa Forum to encourage talented young European musicians. The instrument changes every year. This year, the instrument selected is the Cello.

After preliminary selections organised in each country, the final will take place during the European Forum, from 5 to 7 November 2025 at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin.

Participants must not be older than 24 years of age on 1 January of the competition year. To participate, contact the Lions organisation in your country for more information and to register.

 

The candidate will have to prepare for the audition with:

  • an obigatory piece: J.S. Bach   (1685 – 1750 ) - Prélude from Suite nr. 4  in E-flat Major BWV 1010 for cello solo, 1st movement and one movement of own choice.

  • two tracks of choice from a predefined list

  • a brand new composition for the Europa Final in Dublin

The Lions Charity Concert

Lions Charity Concert European Chamber Players, will take place on

Wednesday, 5 November 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Royal Irish Academy of Music

by a chamber orchestra composed of former laureates from all over Europe and conducted by Wilhem Walz Conductor.

Please note that the Lions Charity Concert is not included as part of the registration fee and the cost to attend is € 20.00 pp, which can be booked at the time of registration.
